I rooted this Beaumontia roughly a year ago, so it's well-established, although still small. I am interested in Colocasia 'Mojito' or 'Thailand Giant'.

Would you tell us the method you used to root this vine?

I don't have the colocasias, but could send a small plant of passiflora umbilicata or hibiscus geranoides. If you'd be interested in either of those, you can e-mail me from my member page. Thanks!

Kay, I rooted this using florists' foam. I didn't really start out to root it, as I've heard it's difficult, but I broke a piece off when moving the mother plant. I took that piece and cut it down into three small cuttings, probably about three nodes long, then treated it like I do passiflora cuttings. Audrey, I REALLY want the 'Mojito'---but if I don't get any offers, then I'll get back in touch with you!

Thanks - personally, I've never had anything root in the florist foam - do I set the foam in a glass of water?

Kay, I usually root several things at a time, and put them all in a plastic or foam meat tray. (*grin*) What you want is something that's not too tall, but will allow your cuttings to stand upright. I generally make my foam cubes about an inch on a side, unless I'm rooting something pretty big. (I have much better luck with small cuttings.)
