WANTED: Asian Persimmon Scions

Posted by Brooklyn_Ken 7a (My Page) on

I'm looking for Asian persimmon scions. The plan is to hopefully get a couple of varieties to take onto a native persimmon rootstock.

I'm open to either astringent or non-astringent types. Preferably early-ripening varieties like: Ichi, Wase Fuyu, Izu, Tam Kam, Saijo, Sheng.

What I have to trade are cuttings of: 1) Plum - Methley, Flavor King, 2) Grape - Himrod, Canadice, Concord, 3) Cherry - Lapins, 4) Fig - Ventura, Marseilles Black VS

RE: WANTED: Asian Persimmon Scions

I have a Fuyu tree that I can cut scions from. I am in N. VA. I would be interested in a good plum scion that I can do a bud graft onto my existing plum.

RE: WANTED: Asian Persimmon Scions

I have a neighbor who has persimmons that are shaped like an egg and have indentations on the quarters. I think it may be saijo. I am going to ask for cuttings and attempt to grow a limb of them on my Fuyu tree. If I get extras, would you like one/two?
