Looking for ornamental sweet potato vine and persian shield

| Hello
Does anybody still have their ornamental sweet potato vine or persian shield?? I'm looking to get some cuttings of these for some containers next year. I have some tiny eucalyptus "silver drop" seedlings I can send in exchange.

I decided to try something 2 yrs. ago, which worked. I just got sweet potatoes from the grocery store. Kept them in a small paper bag for awhile until they sprouted. I cut off the sprouts with a nice piece of flesh with the sprout. I then planted the sprouts in soil and kept them watered. I used the sweet potatoes for dinner. They lasted all year, and I did not have to purchase the vines from a nursery. They also looked quite attractive with the other plants in the pot. When I dug them up to toss in the fall, they had little tubers growing on the roots. Does not cost anything to experiment. Think mine were green, I don't think the purple leaved ones are in the grocery store.

| I have a coleus plant that I've already taken my cuttings from and rooted them. I also have a Marguerite sweet potato vine. If you want them for some of your herb seeds I will send you the plants cut way back or just some cuttings. What kind of herb seeds do you have to trade? Nancy |

| Nancy I don't have any seeds right now, but I can send you a small rooted division of any of the herbs on my page. |

| How well I know!! I have been running for a week , Mom in hospital.........I brought my PS in to try to winter,,,i started a couple just to see if I could do it.. anyway, I can maybe get you some cuttings or even one that I started. I have never done this before, what is next? |
