Newbie want to grow more to share

Just got laid off, no sympathy please, it's all good.
I already grow, have alot more space in south backyard, ie 100ft chinese elm is gone from 05 storm.
I would like to try this approach, keeping things Local and Organic makes sense to me, that being said, there are many ways to procceed.
Here's my thought, to share the cost of seed/and or trade with some like minded folk's that live near me, I also have tools, experience and a desire to do the best I can with good intent for my fellow man or woman.

It is time to get started for 2009,
I have no green house yet, but have Organic compost, mulch, and bark and a big raised bed and alot of new area as soon as i can rototill.

Bottom line is, I want to get started, and have the room and desire to plant more, so I can share more with anyone that may need help.

I would appreciate any suggestions and ideas.
From the 2 days of research and planning since finding this site I realized I am not the only one to feel this way.
And of course I also realized that most everyone here at this site, has a real passion for our planet, earth, people and animals.

Thank you
Rick
P.S. I've got to practice my music and record tonight, but I will be back soon.

Why not start a market garden? I grow not only edibles but ornamentals for farmers market every year to support my seed and plant habits.....plus my yard looks good(sometimes)and I eat pretty darn good by the looks of me...LOL
