Starting a Farm!!!!

Hello All!! My family and I have just purchased an amazing small farm in Southern NH. We are looking to start a large vegetable garden and are looking for Heirloom seeds of hardy interesting vegetables. We will be opening an "on your honor" road side farm stand for the Summer and want variety. We have moved our Apiary (honey bee keeping) to the new farm, and would like to trade seeds for un-pasturized honey!! If you send us some interesting hardy seeds we will send you some honey:) Our mailing address is 349 Route 108 Madbury, NH 03823. Please make sure to include your return address.

Thank you for your consideration,

Michael Allen

RE: Starting a Farm!!!!

Hi MichaelDAllen,

Welcome to Garden Web!

Please see the link below. You need a Member Page email link so that you can easily be reached for trading.
It would be best if you would fill out your trade list with some more specific things you might want to be trading for.
Typically, a 'new member' will mail their end of the trade first, after all the trade details are agreed to...ie, what each member is sending, and approximate quantities. Most seeds are traded in smaller quantities, but you can read more about that at some links at the link below.

Postage to mail a box (of honey) 1 pound or less, is now $5.60 so that is something to consider when setting up a trade. Considering the cost of postage, it might be best if you acquired (bought or acquired via some of the many 'seeds for postage offers') and then arranged some trades...trading seeds for seeds.

Good luck with your vegetable garden, and have fun!

Hi Michael
If you wait till this summer/fall I bet your new farm has lots of wild flowers growing on it. you can save those seeds to trade :)
Good luck with your new farm :)
