Help with weak seedlings please

Posted by barefoot_contessa 5a (My Page) on

Some of my pepper seedlings are very weak. I grew them under lights (very close to the lights, as usual). They are about 6 inches tall now, but want to just flop over. I've never had this problem before. They are beautiful otherwise.

Can you help me toughen these little guys up? :-)

Thanks in advance!

Hi Carrie,

I'm sorry, but it sounds like you really started quite a bit too early. When is your last expected spring frost date there? You don't have your state included in your garden zone box. Mine here in s IN is May 10th so I have not even started my tomatoes or peppers yet.

Here is a bunch of info in an FAQ at the Hot Pepper Forum. ...Can I grow peppers indoors under lights? It includes starting them from seed.

If you don't find a good answer in that FAQ, you might reading, searching, or asking there at The Hot Pepper Forum

The forum seems pretty active at this time of the year.

Good luck. I hope they can make it until plant out time.
