| It might take a while but you might try Milky Spore for getting the Jap Beatle grubs under control. The link below tells about it as well as other organic things. Plant selection makes a big difference too. Some things are just much better liked by JB. JAPANESE BEETLES IN THE URBAN LANDSCAPE Good Luck! Sue |

| Bubble Bath of Doom. We fill a little container with water and a bit of dish soap. While the Japanese Beetles are busy "dating" on a plant leaf we just give the leaf a tap and off they fall into the bubble bath of doom. We tell ourselves that if they enjoy their "dating" parties on the plants that much, they ought to really love a party in a little tupperware hot tub full of nice sudsy water. They die happy - and before they have a chance to lay eggs. The JBs tend to hold their dating parties on their favorite plants. Checking the hot spots a couple of times a day will let you significantly decrease the population in short order. Lynda |
