a good (read easy) black raspberry jam recipe? I picked a bunch of raspberries and wanted to make jam with them...I thought they might make good Christmas gifts this year.

I've been making jam for 6 or 8 years now and I have to admit that I cheat. I use surejell. It has recipes included and they are really good. I made 9 pints of plum jam a few weeks ago.

where do you buy surejell at?

Surejell is a brand name for fruit pectin. It's used in jam and jelly recipes to make them set. In Tennessee you can find it in most grocery stores but in PA it is probably sold under another name. I hope this helps.
