| I sowed seeds of pineapple sage from a trader, which have bloomed now. But the blooms are small like a clary sage, and pale lavender color. The leaves smell like pineapples, but their shape, the flower color, and growth habit are totally different.
I recall some years ago, I heard of another pineapple sage, but that's a fuzzy memory. Any of you flower buds have a clue?

| Here's a link to a discussion that is similar. I don't think Salvia elegans would be in flower now . I have several plants and they flower in late autumn and there is no sign of buds yet. Pineapple sage is a short-day plant which means flowering is triggered by less daylight hours. |

| Does this look like your plant? The leaves supposely smell like pineapple but mine never did. Brazilian Blue Buttonbush or Pineapple Sangria Centratherum intermedium |
