I'm just not a good poet nor story writer so I'm calling on ya'll to add onto this.

T'was the night before Christmas and I'm going out of my head
with so many more days of dread.............

gotta be something to do with "cabin fever" and visons of "Winter Sewing"

RE: Finish this

When all of a sudden I had a thought.

I could read a seed catalog and off I bought.

Does that make sense? Hi Peggy Merry Christmas to you....Barb

RE: Finish this

With visions of seeds and plants dancing in my head,
When in the den, there arose such a clatter,
I leapt from my bed to see what was the matter,
Away to the door I flew like a flash,
yanking open the door and peering around the frame.

When what to my wandering eye did appear,
a gleaming new catalog, containers abound and seed packages all stuffed plump, a jolly elf conducting as they danced with glee

Now potting soil
Now salvia,
On tomatoes, on basil
Come snapdragon, come toadflax
To the top of the container, to to top of the soil
Now grow away, grow away, grow away all!

In the twinkling of an eye, the elf vanished with a warm glow,
I heard him exclaim as he vanished from sight

"Happy gardening to all, and to all a sun bright!"

__________

LOL, that was fun, though it doesn't completely rhyme and is pretty silly!
