| I have seeds of this federally endangered plant and would be happy to share with those who live within its natural habitat. (CT, DE, IA, IL, IN, KY, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, NC, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, TN, VA, VT, WI, WV) Not available outside of this area, sorry.
The cost of postage for first class delivery with confirmation is $2.51. The seedpods are a hassle for me to open so I will send 20 candled pods, each have approximately 5 seeds so I will be sending approximately 100 seeds per offer. These biennial vines are extremely difficult to grow. They like moist but well drained soil in dappled shade and are practically impossible to transplant so they need to be direct sown. They can't take comptition but root disturbance from weeding is nearly always fatal. Does it sound like a challenge? The charming foliage and flowers make it worth it. I'll need you to send a bubble envelope with an address label back to you and postage (quoted above). Also, I used to have a reputation as being super prompt. Well, now that I'm homeschooling, not so much, lol. I will try to get to the PO at least weekly. Feel free to email me or post here. Thanks,

| Jeanne I got some of these from you several years ago. They actually did very well. I had to start them in a pot as being directly sown in my garden is almost a death sentence. lol I have a terrible habit of stepping on tiny plants. I just took the pot of seedlings and sunk it into the garden as soon as they were big enough to be noticeable. That way there was no issue with transplant shock and the container acted as a barrier keeping other plant roots away. |
