Ginger roots are available in grocery stores like Walmart. I planted one last year and had a large stand by fall.

You can easily find both ginger and tumeric roots as well as a variety of others in any Oriental market.

Yeah I see both at this one store I go to. I was just thinking they wouldn't be too good. I was thinking that they being subjected to refrigeration or perhaps some chemical treatments they would not grow. But I will see. I have been wanting to visit a big Asian store for awhile.
