| You surely have Datura seeds - Brugmansias don't come in purple, YET. |

Kayjones, I just Google double purple brugmansia and went to images And when I viewed the picture it is the same plant I have. I can only go by what it was labeled and sold to me as, because I do not Specialize in brugmansia. |

kayjones is correct; there are no double purple brugmansia. If you actually click on (or hover over) the google images, you will notice most are labeled datura. Brugmansia plants & flowers are typically larger and hang downwards, datura flowers face upwards. They are commonly mislabeled. This is an instance where knowing the correct latin name of the item being traded is helpful. Happy trading! |

| Yep, no purple brugmansia. It's fairly easy to tell the difference between brugmansias and daturas, once you've seen a few---brugs are bigger, form woody trunks, and have nodding flowers, while daturas are smaller, herbaceous plants with upward-facing flowers. Brugs root easily, and named cultivars can ONLY be propagated this way, since they do not 'come true' from seed since they are, for the most part, self-sterile. Daturas are almost impossible to root cuttings from, but are easily grown from seed and will 'come true'. Until about 25-30 years ago, all of these were called daturas, and some older texts still refer to them that way. |
