ornamental taters can only be grown from clipping, they don't produce seeds-sorry, but I bet someone here will have some to trade with you. Good Luck!

I found 4 seeds on my ornamental sweet potato vine last year, saved them until now. I soaked them 24 hours and am getting ready to pt them in a pot. I was so excited because the parent, (store bought), was beautiful and even flowered. Now I read there are no seeds --so what do I have here? I guess I will find out in a few weeks

Probably buds.. I just started mine with a couple store bought sweet potatoes cut in half and put in the window half in and half out of water... they are leafing up BEAUTIFUL :)

You may have found seeds if the plant flowered. However, the seeds likely will not grow into a plant with the same leaf shape or coloring as the parent plant. They could be very nice, though. Vine cuttings or the tuberous roots would give identical copies of the parent. It should be interesting to see if they grow and if all four seeds grow into similar plants or if they vary a lot. I've never seen seeds on mine but have overwintered the roots and used them to start the next season's vines. I don't have any now so I can't trade.
