Does anything on my list appeal as a trade?

Would Any of those corns do well on zone9 ?

I'm pretty far from zone 9 myself, so I can't speak from experience. I googled a zone map and took a look, and it seems you should have the heat for any corn, and a long enough season. I suspect excessive moisture might be more trouble for you. In some cases that can encourage bugs and fungi and disease. To help with that, I'd try spacing the plants a bit farther apart, for more air circulation. Have you tried growing corn there before?

How would you like to use the corn? That's a factor in selection. Also disease resistence, though I only know these corns were healthy here. If you've been trying to grow corn and failed, I'd try "breeding" your own strain. Sow a diverse collection of seeds, and save seed from everything that survives. If anything is really healthy, productive, tasty, attractive, or otherwise "cool", save more seed from it. Next season, plant your saved seeds, along with a few new ones from somewhere else. The genes that grow poorly for you will die out, the ones that do well get reinforced. Lots of genetic diversity helps with this process, as more genes to choose from means better odds that something will thrive.

That said, my sweet corns are both se, they are tasty and sweet. All my "indian" corns are likely to be more diverse, as the above method is how most everything used to be grown. "Modern" store bought seeds tend to have much of the diversity bred out of them to encourage consistently producing identicle crops.
