| You may want to keep in mind that most edible fruit is best grown from named-cultivar plants. For instance, apple seeds do not produce trees that produce the same fruit as the apple from which the seed came. Often, seed grown apples are nearly inedible. Even types of fruit trees that are often grown my seed, like pawpaws, can be far inferior to named-cultivars. If quality fruit is your goal, stick with grafted trees or named-cultivar types, for best results. |
