this is a very difficult seed to find!

not to discourage you, i wish you luck, but just thought i would tell you that there are other pines which are prized for their edible pine nuts as well...which are much easier to find than this one.
namely pinus edulis, which i think is the most common kind of pine nut available.

since i got curious i looked up a link where you can buy pinus seeds, i have been slowly going through this catalog looking through their excellent selection of seeds.
