I'm looking for fresh medicinal herbs from your plants not from something someone traded with you. I've gotten burned alot lately with my trades. Very few are germinating and I usually have great luck with seeds. I'm looking for horsetail, cardoon, ashwaganda, peppermint and betony. Or what have you? I have Feverfew, catnip and holy basil and tons of flower seeds and a few veggies.

Have you tryied soaking in light fert? I have some live plants that I could get cuttings from and that I'm waiting on seeds from I could easily get one from the mint (I don't know if it's peppermint or spearmint) My main container has stevia lemon verabena a couple different Basil's lemon catnip reg catnip 2 types or rosemary Greek oregano lemon thyme a few more things mixed in? Those would mostly be fresh cuttings unless some were to root

I never heard of soaking seeds in fertilizer. I think these were just too old to germinate. I'm really looking for seeds. Sorry!

Peppermint is a hybrid, it won't come true from the seed. The best chance with peppermint is to get cuttings. I bought a 4in pot ($2.50) from a grocery store and only after two months and a few rooted cuttings from it it spills out of a window box. It spreads like crazy, cuttings send runners before setting new leaves. I can offer recently collected selfheal if it doesn't grow as a weed in your area.

I've had my seeds in a light fert before and I've heard it helps with older seeds with a light fert mixed in I got superb results (something that mixes with the water) In a month or 2 I should have seeds (if they didnt blow away) for some mint (lol) onions garlic Greek oregano and Thai basil plus the catnip and stuff that I'm growing (the first things are from another location)

I didn't know peppermint was a hybrid. Thanks. I'm not interesting in any of your herbs, Lie. Sorry! I will try the light fert tho. Thanks!
