Last week I collected some jack-in-the-pulpit seed and have a few to share. Arisaema triphyllum.

How soon do you have to get these in the ground?

They need a cold stratification period of at least 30 days before they will sprout. I have them refrigerated.

I harvested them about a week ago so I'd recommend giving them at least another 30 days before planting.

You can just keep them refrigerated till spring.

They will stay viable for quite a while as long as they stay chilled.

Oh, they need to stay moist too. I have them in a plastic bag with some potting mix.

I thought I responded. Sorry, still figuring this site out.

Jack in the pulpit seed will store quite a while, just don't let them dry out.
I have them in moist soilless potting mix. They need a cold stratification period from 30 to 100 days before they will come up.

I'll check my messages and your page.

They are pretty small the first year, you might want to grow them in a pot so they don't get lost.

The seeds are too big for a standard envelope and they need to be kept moist also. They need a padded envelope for sending.
