Please note that the oriental bittersweet (Celastrus orbiculatus) is extremely invasive. It is on the invasive plant list in numerous states, including Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Minnesota, Indiana, etc. It runs rampant and does terrible damage to trees when it takes over the canopy.

There is a native bittersweet species, Celastrus scandens, which is an alternative.

Have fruit on several vines--what seeds do you have to trade?

Mine is not Japanese usual is all I know for sure .
