It is my understanding that dwarf fruit trees are made by grafting the variety or cultivar you want to grow onto a dwarfing rootstock. Peach trees tend to be pretty small in general. If you plant a peach pit (from a peach that grew in your area) you have a pretty good chance of getting a peach tree that produces tasty peaches. They will probably not be the same as the peach you got the pit from. I have a few baby peach trees growing in my yard that came from peach pits that I found sprouting near my compost pile. They are only two years old so they have not produced any peaches yet.

There are some genetic dwarf peach trees, such as Bonanza. Feel free to email me next June if you still need seeds - my peaches ripen in June/July.

Thank you both! I just now saw your responses. I thought I would get an email when anyone replied. Thank you.
