I have been trying so hard to get passiflora seeds to grow and until yesterday when my one seed came out of the hard seed shell and started growing a tiny root. You should have seen me like a kid on Christmas morning. I was wondering because I planted 30 seeds almost two months ago and only one has began to show signs of life if maybe the seeds aren't fresh or I am not doing it right. So I am asking if anyone who has some fresh seeds would maybe like to trade or maybe someone could trade seeds for a starter plant or anykind of passiflora plant at the moment or I could send sase. Just someone help please Lol. I really want one of these plants. Well I wanted several different variety but by the looks of things I'm not doing so well at it. If anyone would like to trade or help please let me know thanks so much.

You might find it easier and faster to start with cuttings, either rooted or unrooted. If you are trying to minimize shipping costs some of these can be sent in a bubble envelope, assuming the temperature is OK in transit. I do have a few things that I might be able to send (for postage), although none are hardy in your zone. If you are interested in any of those the question would be when and how to ship. I might have other types of vines and/or seeds. I'll look things over and contact you later today. Unfortunately a lot of the easily available Passiflora seeds are either not viable, or for varieties that are difficult to grow in most areas. Slow germination is typical, even for viable seeds.

I've been growing Passiflora incarnata from seeds for 10 years, it's not hard at all and I've gotten nearly 100% germination rates within 30 days. Peek at my list and see if there's anything you want with the Passie seeds, and lmk. I'll help you get started:) Your flower bud, Sharon

Sorry to be negative about seeds. Fresh seeds of some species should indeed be easy. Passiflora incarnata is one that should be a good one with seeds from a reliable source.
