| pink and white mix. harvested in september; so still fresh.
these sweeties grow like weeds in my garden. the ants like to carry them out of my shrub borders because there is a kind of sticky sweet coating on the seeds. and they do seem to drop a lot on their way to wherever they are going because over the years my back lawn has transformed into a cyclamen lawn. But! they are not in any stretch of the imagination a 'weed'. they really are quite refined and i would never be without them. look it up: cyclamen hederifolium. here in oregon, i have harvested the seed and sprinkled them into a small seed bed and left them out in the open to the elements and i'm pretty sure that every seed or more germinated to make a small bulbil that set out out a lovely set of leaves their first season. easy-peazy. i've got lots of seed, but not much energy because i'm getting so damn old, as you can tell by my rambling post, so i will accept the first 5 responses with a bubble lined sase. and i would ask that those folks would freely share with other gardenwebbers. |
