| So I didn't get to have a garden in 2011 - living in an apartment is no fun for me. I have a good amount of seeds left over from the 2010 season - so they'll be two years old when it's time to plant them this year. They've been stored in a sealed container (with some silica beads, but don't know how much good they've done) in a closet for a little over a year now.
I'm offering these up for free/trade. I will be placing another order for bulk seeds in a couple months, but I don't like the idea of just getting rid of these. Of course, if you want to send me some seeds or stamps in return, I would be grateful. Just remember that they are two years old and I don't know what the germination rates will be like. I have: Henderson Bush Lima Bean
These are all chosen to be well suited to Florida's growing conditions, but some are hardy in many zones. I think these are all open pollinated / heirlooms - I typically try to grow very few hybrids. Again, these seeds are old, but have been well stored and hey - can't beat free, right? I'll divvy them up into packets about the size of normal seed packets. I'll update the post when I'm running low on any of them. I should have at least ten 'packets' of each of them. The beans are (of course) larger seeds and will cost a little more to mail, so postage or trade is especially appreciated if you want to try out all the bean varieties. For trades, I am especially interested in yard long beans - also called asparagus beans. Heck, I'd send SASEs for less common varieties of these. I'd also love to have some of those everglades tomatoes I've heard about, or the matt's wild cherry. Otherwise, anything (open pollinated preferred) that grows well in Florida is welcome. I think I managed to turn on email through the forum, or I'll add my email address if it didn't work. |

| little wacke, Would you be intrested in some little zip bags, addy stickers? ( I don't know how much you trade) I pretty much wiped out my seed stash last year ,only to have a dismall failure.I may have some of the Matt's, but they wouldn't be this years. I can look for the things on your list, but as far as anything for Florida, I doubt I would find anything here in KS. Let me know what you think,I am happy to send the postage. Thank you Gwen |
