For the Ladies

I justed wanted to let the ladies know of something I did tonight for the first time.

I saw the idea on one of the morning shows a while back. I held a "clothing swap". It was FANTASTIC, and a HUGE success! The idea is that you invite 10-20 friends over and tell them to clean out their closets and bring it all with them. You then "sort" (I use that term loosely), the clothing and then it's a free for all. I was a bit skeptical as we're all different shapes and sizes and have very different tastes, but I have to say that everyone left with TONS of "new" clothes! It was soooo much fun! All the "left overs" are being donated to the local "outreach" program. That way our excess gets put to good use within our own community. I was a blast!

Hey, why weren't WE invited??? I need to bump up my flyer status, so I'm looking for some quick trips! And I ALWAYS want new clothes...

Sounds like a great idea! Glad you had fun. It would be a good thing to do with kid's clothes, too. Or toys!

I got invited to a clothing swap, when I was about 21 or so. What a great experience that was! It was a great feeling all around:

#1: I was happy that these "cool new friends/acquaintances" asked me to be part of their clothing exchange. It made me feel popular LOL!

#2: I was flattered that some of my clothes got taken, with genuine liking! (These were girls that I looked up to, which made it even better)

#3: I felt like I got some super cute & cool clothes for nothing!

#4: A social event! So much fun!

So now it's over 10 years later, but I'd go to another clothing swap in a heartbeat!
