Is that a Frenchie or a Boston Terrier? I would LOVE a frenchie!
Also, I absolutely LOVE the pictures of the free range eggs vs. the commercial eggs. I always tell people how different they are and what they should expect, but I've still had a few friends get freaked out by it!
    Great comparison!

Thats my French Bull Dog (Frenchie), her name is Marzocchi. Little dog with a big name, french dog with an Italian name.
She is 1 year 6 months old now. She is getting close to finishing.

Do you like the breed? I know they ahve their downfalls b/c of their headshape (snorting, breathing problems, etc.), but over all, do you like her personality? I'd just LOVE one. I"m a big fan of the "bully breeds", although a frenchy is pushing that title.
I'd love to know all about her!

    Yes we lover her.
She has all the normal breathing problems. In the summer we have to be really careful because it is really hot here (100+). She also doesnÂt do well in the cold, but the only time thatÂs a problem is when we are out (like camping).
When she was about 8 months old she got a "Greeny" dog chew toy lodged in her throat. It staid there for about a week. She kept pucking. We had taken her to a friendÂs animal hospital, and she was under observation. They did X rays and blood test, but couldnÂt find out why she was sick. Then one day just before we left for visiting her she started vomiting. She through up the "Greeny" it was literally the size of a human fist. So in the process of this Greeny going through her throat is caused massive injuries to her esophagus. We ended up having to drive to So Cal and have her esophagus ballooned to keep it from closing. Each time they ballooned her, there was a 50% change her throat would burst, and she would die.
Well we did it about 10 times, until the doctors said they was as good as it was ever get, and they didnÂt want to risk her life any more.
So now she is fine, she is on a liquid diet. Her throat is much smaller then a normal Frenchies, so if she eats any thing hard/ bigger than the opening she vomits. So we grind Pedagree up in a blender, and feed it to her like a paste.
All her treats are things like: butter, cheese, etc...
It is really hard because we have to watch her like a hawk. Any time some one drops some thing on the floor she eats it, and starts a vomiting attack.
When we go to shows people always are giving her little treats when no one is looking. Then she starts a vomiting attack. In some ways it is funny, because of the looks on peopleÂs faces when they realized what they just caused. It is almost a regular occurrence at shows. All the other Frenchie people know not to feed her any thing.

She is funny, she does the weirdest/ stupidest things. She climbs across my legs to get to the other chair, or climbs for the other chair to my lap. When she is really tired she comes up and puts her front feet on either side of your neck, and puts her head touching the side of your neck.
She has a dog toy that is Jack Daniels hard liquor. She rolls on her back and holds the toy between her front feet and it looks like she is drunk passed out on her back with the Jack bottle still in her mouth. I have some great pictures of that.

She doesnÂt know how small she actually is. She plays with my Bassets like they were Frenchies. She loves my Flat Coated Retriever. She jumps up at his faces and nips at him, or grabs onto his long hair and gets dragged around the kennel yard.

When she goes to bike races every loves her name. Marzocchi is an Italian bike fork/ shocks. When we call her name every one around laughs. A lot of people at the races know who she is now.

Frenchies are a great breed, and one of great unknown secrete breeds in America.

    Thanks for the info.
Incredible about the problems you ahd with her. The greenie did show up on an x-ray? Wow.
And the fact that you stuck with her and grind up her food is amazing! A lot of people would have done other things. Good for you!
I'd love to see some "drunk" pics of her. Too funny!
