That foal must be the size of a cat! I know that our mini is small, and he's a big mini at 32". I can't imagine what a foal out of a little mini would look like! Amazing.
What does your nephew do with his minis?

They just got them. He only owns a stallion, a beautiful animal, the slender type. The others are owned by two other people. I don't think they really know what they are going to do!! I heard talk of training, showing, breeding. They aren't really concerned about making money with them; just a fun, new hobby. Hard for me to understand, but to each his own.

'A' size minis (maturing under 34 inches, can be as small as 16-21 inches at birth. I tend to prefer the 'B' size, larger minis, for their long legs.

Minis are tremendously addictive...just be around them for a short time and you'll see what I mean. My joke is that they aren't miniature, they're concentrates.They are horses, however, with the same instincts and needs as their larger counterparts.

As for the old question, what can you do with them, the only thing you can't do is ride them, and if that's all you want, you're missing out on the best part of having horses...
