From the angle of the pic, it looks like a footprint on her backside or an exclamation point.
Do cows have signs of impending birth like horses (ie..waxy milk buildup on their teats?)

Too funny! She doesn't look quite big enough yet, tho...although I wouldn't say that if I were standing in front of her!

Dh tells me it's 10 months, but I don't know...I'd bet on late October or anytime in November.

Yes, they usually bag up full and their ...um...DH says 'twat' swells up pretty large, in which case she seems to be inching that way. My elderly cowboy uncle says they get big dents next to each side of their tale.(and she is getting those too) She doesn't look so large or fat in this photo, but she really is way larger than when we got her, and she especially looks huge after eating grass all day. My father he is our main cow expert, told me not to feed her much at all for a while since the baby gains most of its wait in the last forty days(don't want a big baby), but she was getting a little ribby so he said I could feed her more to fatten her back up. Our grass is waining- She was rolling fat on mesquite beans, but they are mostly gone and we have gone so long without any decent rain. She gets all the hay she wants and sweetfeed mainly to keep her routine of coming up every evening to be penned.

Suzie, that is what I said before, and my Dad says that you can't go by how fat they are, because he said that she could have been ready to have one when we got her and we would not have known. He said often cows don't show at all. But he belly is usually way lopsided and she barely fits in her chute, the boards cut into her on each side. I will have to take pics from a different angle, this picture is hard to tell how fat she is though. I definitly don't want anyone pushing the date back any, Please!! (c; LOL!!! I don't know why I am so anxious, all that milking is just going to be more work that has to be done in a very timely manner, our family has a hard time with hardset routines! LOL! Just excited I guess.
