Where is that picture taken? Definitely coastal SoCal, but I'm just curious. Loved your other picture of Santa Catalina. I grew up on Point Loma. When I was in college, a friend had his pilot's license and we would fly out of Burbank and go down to the island several times a year. Is the Navy still using part of it for target practice, or has the whole island become a goat preserve now?

Thanks, I live in North San Diego about 7 miles inland. I think the military still might use some of the back side. Deffinetly no more goats, they were removed. They were destroying the place eating everything. There are still buffalo there. (maybe Ca. bisen) Thanks to Hollywood and the motion pictures. Avalon is huge very commercial and full of homes and hotels. The Isthmus, the other end, is still prety rural. One store, restrooms and a small restaurant. A few homes and The banning House, old home now hotel, is there also. There is access to a ton of camping. My inlaws have a boat and we are very fortunate to spend several weekedns every summer there. Thanks for asking. gina
