| I have some timothy hay that accidentally got wet and is now rotting. Should I use it as mulch or toss it into my personal compost bin? The other alternative is to put it in the municipal compost. I know straw is often used as mulch but I’ve also heard of a few brave souls who use hay- not sure what kind though. Does anyone have an experience with this? Thanks |

| I would put it in your personal compost bin ... it's not old enough to put directly in your garden as mulch and will still have viable seeds, that will need to be weeded from your garden. Once composted, most/all those seeds should no longer be viable. |
