As far as I know cashmere goats are not big milk producers, they are raised mostly for their fiber. Dairy goats, i.e. saanen's,oberhasli's, nubians, etc., all have some cashmere as their inner fur, but not enough to use for spinning.

That's not fair! I want milk AND cashmere! I'll have to get two different kinds of goats, sheep with lots of milk or a sheep and goat combination - Special long haired, coloured wool sheep.

Still researching this one. Not for this year.

Don't goats like company? Maybe you could get a cashmere goat to keep your dairy goat company. : )

I could do that! I could get a couple of dairy goats for milk, a few other goats for cashmere an a few sheep for wool. What's a few more critters, more or less? They're no trouble, if you're not milking them.

Kids and lambs are good for meat too.
