Lobby Training Conference Call

In preparation for our National Small Farm Lobby Day on March 10 (see www.NICFA.org for more information) we are grateful to have Howard Bedlin, a Capitol Hill lobbyist on health care issues with more than 25 years experience, offer to teach us how to be effective with our legislators.

If you cannot be in Washington for the 10th, please still schedule a phone meeting with your Senators' aides that day.

This preliminary training call will cover:

Your initial call to your Senator's office - getting hold of the right person

Introducing yourself and your subject

Scheduling a meeting, or phone meeting, with a staff member

We're holding a follow-up webinar (conference call) Monday, March 8, to go over lobbying procedure, Talking Points, and the status of the food safety bills.
