| How cold can an egg get and still be viable? One of my geese has laid eggs and some of them have gotten down to forty degrees before I found them. |

| Ive hatched many that were that cold. some times, especially from young geese and ganders the earliest eggs will not be fertile and cold is blamed rather than infertility. |
