Fight or accident?

I went to the hen pen this afternoon and discovered Egglebert bleeding from him comb, trying to get away from Tweedledum. (The full story with a couple of photos is at http://www.busysolitudefarm.com .)

Egglebert is the original rooster and is about two years older than Tweedledum, who came to us last summer. Tweedledum has always run FROM Egglebert before today. So I am puzzled whether he started it, or whether Egglebert had an accident which caused his comb to start to bleed, and then Tweedledum took advantage of the situation to dominate him. Could that be?

Egglebert is isolated for the time being so that his beautiful comb can heal. I'm hoping once he's ready they can live peacefully again.

Any advice would be welcome!
