Warefowl need a bit more bedding than landfowl need. No food nor water but a good handful of lettuce is a good idea. I usually used an apple for chickens and lettuce for ducks. if they are Call ducks 2 per standard box but others such as the Swedes, Anconas, Campbells only 1 per box, might be able to put 2 Mallards in 1 box. you can tape 2-3 boxes together to save a bit on express postage. The last duck I shipped cost 30 $$ for the duck, 30$ for the postage and 10$ for the box. That was 2 years ago.

Bouncing this thread up, as I've got to do it again and would like any current info. Last time around, someone was kind enough to contact me outside this thread and tell me a cheaper source for boxes, but now I can't find that info.

And if anyone would like a 1-year-old pure white Indian Runner drake (I have four to find homes for), let me know!

Couldn't you put them in a dog crate to ship?

Looking for something cheap and disposable. The trick with the Horizon boxes is that they are very expensive to ship (without ducks in them).
