Forgot - standard size chickens is what we have. Sometimes I let them out in the evening - but have to make sure the dogs are kept up.

I think they are pretty well matched as far as temperment, with the Brahmas being the bit more aggressive (for lack of a better word--I don't think either breed could be termed 'aggressive!). I've only kept bantam Cochins, though, so someone else may have better first-hand knowledge.

I'm just now raising my first Giant Cochins (5 weeks old!) and they are just the sweetest things EVER. I love them. :)
