For the 4-week old of mixed breeds I'd say $5-6 or so. They'll be for pleasure or the table only, not for breeding. I would go this high just because they are out of that stage where they can die easily so there is little chance of loss.

As for the year old ducks--what is their situation? Same breeding--mixed? If so, they are pretty much for pets, pleasure for someone to watch on a pond. They're pretty old to eat and breeding would not be ideal as mixed breeds. However, you can breed mixed breed mutts for ducklings to eat later. I would start at $10 and let them talk me down as far as $8 or $20 for 3 or so if they bargained.

I guess it is going to depend upon your area. Ducklings are about $1 around here and adult mixed breed ducks are a give-away.

Purebred ducks are a different story, and price varies by breed and purpose.

yes Oregon we pay 4-6 dollars for two day old ducklings here.People with older ducks are anyones guess and I have given away three ornery males already.

Last week at the local flea market a vendor made a deal for all my Moscovey ducklings (20 at $2 each) then turned around and sold them for $4 each - same day, same market. It's time I raised my prices!

Here, in Northern Virginia area, prices seem to be much higher than in other areas.

Baby ducklings at tractor supply were going for $2.50 this year. Guinea keets, days old, go for about $5-$7 each.

Crested ducks, call ducks, Indies, and exotics go for about $60-$80 a pair. Drakes would go alone for may be $25, and hens are more expensive.

Pekins, mallards, and other more ordinary ducks are a bit cheaper, but not much cheaper. There are just ain't any for sale.

Recently, I was lucky to buy 6 pekins 6-week olds for $30 for all, but this was rather an exception.

A lot people got used to warmer, snow-less winters. This winter (Al Gore to blame?!) here was very cold with plenty of snow. That snow caught some people off guard. Some people did not have ANY barns or pens for most of their animals. I have seen quite a few cows and horses that died from cold and starvation as their owners were hoping animals would get by grazing, and that did not work. So, for while prices were really low and lots of animals were given for free until the end of February.
