duck hatching question

Hello- I posted awhile back about our classroom incubator being off when we arrived on a Monday morning a few weeks back. Since then we lost one egg, and one hatched yesterday-3 days early. Poor little guy was stuck and needed some help, but is doing just fine today. Cute little black Cayuga duckling. Our last egg has one more day to hatch day. We thought we heard an occasional peck inside, very faint and not very often. How long do the ducklings peck inside before they pip? Thanks for your advice!

I realize I am a bit late in responding but for future info, usually a day or two of pecking.... I hope by now you are the proud mama of two cayugas.....
