I got a broody hen out of the nest box last night to put her in the broody cage and she has a cut on her top beak. What can I do to make her more comfortable?I fed her a hard boiled egg this morning.I wonder if the rooster could have hurt her or another hen who wanted the nest box? Thanks for your help.Posy Pet

RE: broody with cut beak

unless it gets infected leave well enough alone. Any number of things could have happened, she could have been pecking at a nail (I've seen it happen) or it could have been a fight, they happen occasionally. Unless you see any aggression don't worry about it.
