Yew Poisoning: natural antidote?

DH (a former city boy) noted that our two heifers were happily eating evergreen clippings a neighbor had thrown into the pasture. He was not sure if they were phitzer or yew. Learned they are fresh yew prunings. Neighbor now removing clippings. Online gov't info says there is no antidote and explains the effect of the toxins on the electrolyte balance of the heart muscle.

Reportedly, death can occur in a few hours for a cow. For a 1000# horse, a fatal dose can be 1/2# yew clippings.

Has anyone dealt with something similar? Would apple cider vinegar or a mineral supplement/herbal mix reduce the toxic load? Thanks for any info.
