eggs don't hatch

User

I have 2 setting pilgrim geese, and 1 gander. They are 4yrs. old this year. I know the ganders are not fertile 'til their 2nd yr, so the 1st yr., no eggs hatched. the second year, there were 12 healthy goslings. Last year, over 30 eggs and none hatched at all. This year, same thing. The females are VERY dedicated to the nest. There are many eggshells in the nesting area, not sure how many eggs are left, but they're still sitting. It's been just over 1 month since they started. The only difference is that the year I got a hatch, I had 3 females. Is it possible that the one that's gone was the only fertile female? Or maybe something else? I'm planning on candling soon!
