Hey everyone, I just purchased 6 pullet chicks about two weeks ago (3 RIR and 3 Golden Comets). It's the first time I've ever attempted raising chicks and especially in my backyard in the suburbs of NYC. I decided to blog about it to keep friends and family in the loop about developments. Too bad you lost one but now you know. All livestock need protection from predators. Good luck with the rest of 'em :)
