| What is the going rate for blueberries per pound?
Bought some at wal-mart and it was 4.0 oz for $2.99, therefore that would be $12.00 per pound. Do blueberries weigh a pint a pound? Thanks for the input. |

| I have never seen b'berries sold by the pound. We are in NC and most of the farms have lost there crops due to a freeze Easter weekend. So they are pricey right now. Last week a local super market here had them 8 oz ( 1 pint) for $2.99. I got 5 pints and made a good size batch of jam. Your best bet is to try and find a local grower. Then you can freeze some for pie, muffins, etc. Good luck, |

| Here in FL they are $3.99 for 4 oz.- roughly $16 a pound!! I can buy filet mignon for that. This is the first year that I noticed those little flat 4 oz. containers. That seems to be all that's available in the supermarkets- no blueberries for me at those prices. |

| Blueberries are out of season now, they won't be cheaper until end of July-August. You can buy frozen ones for baking, that work well now in re-seal bags. M |

| The supermarket I work at put them on sale this week for $1.99 for a pint. I bought 6! Susan |

| I went to a pick-ur-own blueberry farm (Choctaw Road Blueberry Farm) near Franklinton, LA, for father's day. It's actually on Thomas-Nelson Road - go figure. We paid $10 per gallon bucket, but we had to pick them. We picked and bought 7 gallons (actually picked a little over - they allowed the buckets to be rounded over plus they allowed us to eat all we wanted as we picked) for us and family. Beautiful berries and nice people. |
