I found a site for you to try. I myself have done some work on my barn but it
is not that large. I went to a sawmill and had my wood custom cut and it was a
LOT cheaper than it would have been in Homedepot/Lowes. Also when you buy wood
from a sawmill 2x12 is actually 2x12 not 1.5x11.5 Buying wood from a sawmill is
green though and it will have to set out and season. They recommend 1 year but I
used the wood in about 6-7 months and there is no warping or anything.



I also went to old house web (see the link below) and posted questions in their
forum for pre 1900 houses. My barn was built in the late 1800's. Even though
that does not constitute a house they were still more than willing to help. You
will have to post photos to illustrate your problems or you will not get as much
help. I am sure you will get all the help you need there.
