Hot Alpacaas

Should I try to cool off my alpacas by hosing them down every once in a while? I've seen people do that to horses and llamas, but am not sure if it's okay for the alpacas' fiber. (They were shorn this spring, so their hair isn't super long, but still, it is 100 degrees out there....)

Yes! Alpacas love water! Set up a sprinkler in their pasture and let them frolic at will for a while. Our boys really enjoy it and I've been told it improves their fiber.
