I had to make the sad decision to get rid of my small flock of 4 hens and 2 ducks. I'm completely discouraged from the mites and lice they constantly get,,even though I powder,dust and clean routinely..they never go away.

therefore,,my question is this...since now that they're gone,and after we clean out the coop and leave it empty,,will the mites eventually die? I won't be getting anymore for at least 2 years and when I do,they will be in a roofed run and hutch attached to prevent these horrible outbreaks,,instead of freee ranging and living in our gazebo.

will they finally go away? or will these mites live on us,or our pets?(dogs,cats,rabbits?)
