How big is it? Does it have any feathers or just down?

If it's very young, it should be in a brooder (which can be a box) with a heat lamp, up to 90 degrees, going down 5 degrees per week until 70 degrees. Give it starter mash and water. Do you have any experience with raising fowl?

What do the beak and feet look like?

If it is a duck or goose, and it's still a baby, DON'T give it a pan of water to swim in. Very young ducks and geese do not have the necessary oil coating on their skin as yet to keep their feathers waterproof. So just as a precaution, no swimming yet. :)

A picture or a good description of the baby is a great place to start, so we can help narrow it down. There are common household grocery items that can serve quite well as baby bird food, including human baby food. So don't panic! :)
