Potatoe Planter

seramas

Potatoes planter 2'D x 4'W x 4'H with ¼" hardware cloth and landscape cloth on bottom to prevent critters from nesting and/or eating the tubers and grasses (namely-tall fescue) from growing up through the tubers.

As the potatoes grow more 4" boards are added then filled to the top with a composted chicken manure/Canadian Peat/sand (1-1-1). They need lots of water until flowering stops and the plant starts to die.

Unscrew end boards and harvest potatoes, drying them in heavy shade on wire racks for a few days to let them cure. Then store them at 34F until used.

These are white potatoes-they have the long shelf life.

Will post video updates.
