Isa Browns early layers?

I have four Isa Brown pullets and four Buff Orpington pullets I got in April as peeps. This week someone started laying -- I think three of them are laying now. It seems terribly early, but I recall hearing someone else mention that Isa Browns start laying very young. The browns have very red crowns whereas the orpingtons still look immature.

Any insight?

My Isa Browns started lying at 15 to 16 weeks. Orpingtons will start at 18-20 weeks. Diet has a lot to do with starting to lay eggs (min 16% protein), along with the length of daylight (16 hrs/day).
