Hi everyone,
I have 2 young female pygmy goats, which I adore and are a load of fun,,only thing I 'm having trouble with is the amount of hay that falls on the ground in their stall that goes to waste. Is there something I can do to prevent so much wasted hay? seems a waste!! I see that after it falls and they urine on it or defecate, they will not eat it..nor will my rabbits, lol. I really need a better idea for a hay rack, anyone??

The one at the link, or the one here:

The goal is to make the opening just big enough for the goat's head. Check Youtube for various hay feeders with grates.

A smaller grid, and a barrier so if the hay falls they can't step on it will help.

Here is a link that might be useful: home-made feeder

Use the waste in the garden for mulch.

the post for the feeder was right on. do not make one for each animal you have. the feeder pictured should suffice for three animals. don,t forget the minerals and salt.
